Show 133 - Buzzcocks - Live At Electric Circus, Manchester - 2 Oct 1977

A debut for Buzzcocks this time at an early point in their career - a month before the release of their debut single for United Artists, Orgasm Addict and featuring early bass player Garth Smith; the show also features the first outing for "Fiction Romance". It was the final night of Manchester punk venue Electric Circus before it closed down, and while it reopened under another name later, that didn't last long and the building has long since been demolished. 1 track from this gig was released in 1978 on a compilation album called "Short Circuit" but this recording is all of their set cleaned up and reproduced here.

The recording I found was very bass heavy and not very clear - nevertheless it was the clearer of the 2 copies I came across online. My main job was therefore reducing the muffled bass and tightening that a bit, and making the guitars/vocals and drums all much clearer. I hope you enjoy the results!

You can download all of this improved recording for free here as one 320 kbps MP3 file.

Or, if you would like to support the site with a small donation towards storage subscription and internet costs, in return you can have the remastered show as separate, properly tagged MP3s or even lossless files in FLAC format; head on over to the Donations tab to see how you can do this.

Either way - enjoy the show!
